We are conveniently located off I-81 (exit 45) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Office: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
Endoscopy Center: 7 am – 5 pm
Infusion Center: 7:30 am – 4 pm
In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call emergency medical services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Carlisle Digestive Disease Associates and they will contact us.
There is a Physician on call 24 hours a day. Emergency calls after hours and holidays are handled by the UPMC Pinnacle Health Carlisle switchboard operator. If you need to contact one of our Gastroenterologists after hours, call CRMC at (717)249-1212. The operator will forward your information to our on-call Physician, who will return your call. If you do not receive a return call within 30 minutes, call the hospital operator again.
If you would like to contact our office after hours for a non-urgent need, call (717) 245-2228 and leave a message. We will return your call the next business day.
Carlisle Digestive Disease Associates, Ltd. and Carlisle Endoscopy Center, Ltd. participate with most major insurance plans.
If your insurance plan requires you to pay a co-payment, co-insurance, and/or a deductible, you will need to pay at the time of your visit. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
If you have a question related to your bill or insurance, please contact our billing specialists at (717) 245-2228. While our staff is happy to help with your insurance coverage questions, we request that you first check with your insurance plan regarding your specific coverage and out-of-pocket expenses.
Please note that you could receive separate bills for Carlisle Digestive Disease Associates, Carlisle Endoscopy Center, Carlisle Anesthesia, and/or Carlisle Pathology depending on the services you receive. If necessary, we can arrange a payment plan at your request.
If your insurance is an HMO/managed care plan and you are required to obtain a referral from your primary care physician, the referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit. Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments will be rescheduled if required referrals are not received in the office by the time of your visit.
Please request your routine prescription refills during regular office hours or through the patient portal. Requests should be made at least one week in advance of your prescription running out. If you have a mail-away plan, please notify us at the time you start your last bottle/refill.
You will need to provide your name, date of birth, phone number, pharmacy, prescription name, dosage, and how often you take it. There will be times that the pharmacy will need to obtain prior authorization for your medication, which could take several days or more.
No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
