Welcome to Carlisle Digestive Disease Associates, one of central Pennsylvania’s finest Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy practices, with a long history of service to our community.
Our practice specializes in the diagnosis and management of digestive disorders, as well as disorders involving the liver, gallbladder, and pancreas. Each of our Physicians is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and our doctors and highly trained staff are committed to providing compassionate, outstanding patient care.
Over 25 Years of Caring for Our Community
Carlisle Digestive Disease Associates, Ltd. has been caring for our community’s digestive tract disorders since our practice was founded in 1990 by Gastroenterologists Dr. Ted Berk and Dr. Greg Lewis. Together they saw the growing community’s need for a practice that specialized in disorders of the digestive tract. These Physicians set the standard for Gastroenterology care within our community.
Dr. Berk and Dr. Lewis have since retired, however their mission of offering patients the highest quality of care and customer service has continued, and our practice has grown to include five Board-Certified Gastroenterologists, a Certified Nurse Practitioner, and two Physician Assistants, in addition to our other staff.
Convenience of Open-Access Endoscopy
Patients who are in good health and simply require a routine screening or a follow-up colonoscopy may be eligible to participate in our open access program and skip the office visit. Many patients prefer the ease of working directly with their primary care physician for routine screenings, and of course, patients are always welcome to schedule an appointment if they wish to speak with one of our Board-Certified Gastroenterologists prior to their procedure.
Highest Quality Endoscopy Services in Central Pennsylvania
Carlisle Endoscopy Center, Ltd. allows our physicians to provide endoscopic procedures to our patients in a friendly, comfortable, and professional environment. Our endoscopy center is equipped with state-of-the-art endoscopic equipment and is staffed by Physicians and Registered Nurses with extensive experience in the field of GI endoscopy.
The Gastroenterologists at Carlisle Endoscopy Center consistently exceed national benchmarks related to quality of colonoscopy.
One such indicator is adenoma detection rate (ADR). ADR is critical for a quality screening colonoscopy and for colon cancer prevention. An adenoma is a type of polyp that could potentially become malignant. The national benchmark regarding the detection of adenoma states that physicians providing a high-quality colonoscopy should have an ADR of greater than 30% in males and greater than 20% in females. The Physicians at Carlisle Endoscopy Center consistently exceed this benchmark, which means that they are extremely proficient at finding and removing precancerous polyps. LEARN MORE
